Use the High Point appointment effectively
Safe Living Solutions has a High Point service page and Stannah identifies it as an installer and service provider for its stairlift line. The useful next step is an appointment with the intended user and the stair photographs, rather than an unplanned trip. Ask whether a working seat and controls can be demonstrated and whether the displayed equipment matches what may fit your home.
The provider’s current site gives 3980 Premier Drive, Suite 110, while the manufacturer listing uses Eastchester Drive. We have not treated those as two showrooms. Confirm where to go, how to enter and whether the visit is accessible for the person attending. If travel is difficult, ask what can be resolved by a home visit and what still requires an equipment demonstration.
Safe Living SolutionsMake regional coverage part of the agreement
Bruno’s High Point page identifies additional regional businesses, including 101 Mobility of Charlotte and Lifeway. The former publishes a Salisbury address; the latter is identified through Raleigh. These are useful enquiry routes, but the city listing does not set a response time or a travel price. Ask which branch will take ownership of the project from measurement to handover.
Put a practical question to the person writing the proposal: if the lift stops next month, which number do you call, who visits and what may be charged? Request separate answers for a covered defect, a battery problem and routine servicing. If a model already exists in the home, supply its serial number before assuming the company can repair or relocate it.
101 Mobility of Charlotte · Lifeway Mobility Raleigh-DurhamAsk for the right purchase or rental scope
For a permanent installation, request the exact chair and rail description together with the price of any powered options. Ask the assessor to show the boarding and exit locations, rather than choosing by photographs of the seat alone. If the stair carpet or another part of the route will be changed, explain that work before the final measurement and agree the sequence.
Lifeway’s regional rental package states a two-month minimum. That is only one component of the decision. Obtain the setup amount, monthly extension, removal terms and price if you later choose to buy. Ask which configuration is actually available for High Point and whether the required options can be supplied on a rental. Avoid paying a reservation based only on a broad product page.
Lifeway Mobility Raleigh-Durham · Safe Living SolutionsCheck the city portal and the repair scope
High Point’s home-repair page describes emergency work, including accessibility, but the community-development landing page currently marks the owner-occupied rehabilitation portal temporarily closed. Read those pages together. As checked October 17, 2026, the existence of a screening link is not sufficient evidence that a new rehabilitation application will be processed. Ask the department to explain the active route for your particular situation.
Prepare a short account of the barrier and the work you believe is needed. Ask whether an assessor must inspect it, whether a stairlift is within the funded scope and whether the program selects its own contractor. Keep an independent installation quote available for planning, but do not assume that ordering privately will preserve eligibility or create a right to reimbursement.

Community Housing Solutions is a separate enquiry for qualifying Guilford County homeowners. Its work includes accessibility modifications and its Aging Gracefully program combines home changes with visits from health professionals. Ask which service, if any, is appropriate for your household and whether the property qualifies. These programs should not be presented as a general stairlift grant or an automatic substitute for a private quote.
Your request can still be precise if more than one barrier exists. Identify the essential daily journey, the difficult stair, the bathroom access and any troublesome entrance as separate items. Ask the assessor to explain what the stairlift would solve and what it would leave unresolved. This helps prevent spending the equipment budget on one part of a route that remains unusable elsewhere.
